about

Catie Baumer Schwalb is a chef, food writer and photographer, who splits her life between the big city and the bigger country.  Not too long ago Catie was a New York City based actress and playwright for more than a decade.  She has her Master of Fine Arts from the National Theater Conservatory, and her Grand Diplôme in classic culinary arts from the French Culinary Institute in New York City.

Pitchfork Diaries is Catie’s scrapbook of culinary exploration, culinary archaeology and food musings.  It focuses on old-but-new-again techniques and cooking tutorials for a huge variety of homespun and hip food endeavors.
When not in NYC, Catie lives with her husband and very curious toddler in a rural town of two hundred residents in the Catskills, happily on their micro farm.

Catch up with Catie on facebook and twitter.
